A new look for information in case of engineering works
When Infrabel is working on the tracks, it is important that passengers are informed in good time so that they can consider the consequences for their journey. Our main focus is on online communication channels, such as the app and the website. However, work information posters and replacement bus signs remain a necessary complement. These paper media have been completely revised in terms of design and content. A new look for the summer holidays!
New work information posters
The work information posters enable us to alert passengers in stations, particularly commuters, who usually consult the SNCB app just before their departure, from eight days before the start of the works. Striking, recognisable colours are useful: the blue of SNCB and the orange of the works information. They will also be used for bus signage, in line with SNCB's revamped visual identity.
Interestingly, posters now contain much less information. Travellers will be redirected to the journey planner to find out what is actually changing for their journey. This keeps the posters clear and unaffected by last-minute changes.
New and improved bus signage
Infrabel's many track works force SNCB to offer alternative routes or replacement buses in the event of a line being completely out of service. This situation sometimes proves stressful and uncomfortable for our passengers. Signage has been enhanced and clarified to make the route between the station and the SNCB replacement bus stop easy to find. It is also made of more durable materials.
