From 15 August 2018 until 28 November 2018, the international exhibition The World of Tim Burton will settle in the exhibition spaces  C-mine (Genk – Belgium), a site entirely dedicated to creative cultural heritage . The touring exhibition on the work of Tim Burton has travelled all around the world from New York to Paris, Tokyo, São Paulo and Prague. Tim Burton is a filmmaker, illustrator, author, and artist—and the creative mind behind the films a.o. Edward Scissorhands, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland,…

While Burton had previously been recognized almost exclusively for his cinematic work, the international exhibitions of his drawings, paintings, photographs, puppets, and sculptural installations display the full range of his artistic production. The exhibition focuses on the distinctive characters and worlds that could only come from Tim Burton’s singular imagination. About 400 works are presented in different thematic sections. The exhibition will be completed with a wide public program such as guided tours, films and lectures.
