Do you get to the station by car? You can combine your Flex Season Ticket with any parking product for the SNCB car park of your choice at the preferential rate for rail passengers.
If you want to take a Parking Supplement, simply go to the station ticket office of your choice with your MoBIB card (and with your parking certificate if your employer participates to the costs) and show your active Flex Season Ticket. The Parking Supplement will be loaded onto your personalised MoBIB card registered with the SNCB so that you can enter and leave the car park at any time.
Buying and activating a Flex Season Ticket
The Flex Season Ticket is recommended if you travel to your workplace on average 2 to 3 times a week on average.
If you travel more than 3 times a week on the same route, the Standard Abonnement is still more advantageous. If you travel less than twice a week, other products (like tickets or Multi) may be more appropriate than a season ticket.
Fares vary according to the distance of the chosen journey, the format of the Flex Season Ticket (6, 10, 80 or 120 days) and the travel class (1st or 2nd class)
For operational reasons, it will have to be phased in over several months. Your employer will be contacted by our services as soon as the Flex Season Ticket is available to your company or organisation.
- To obtain a Flex Season Ticket, you must apply to your employer as soon as the Flex Pass is available for your company or organisation..
- Then you activate your Flex Season Ticket and any STIB/MIVB, De Lijn, TEC or Parking supplements on the l'App SNCB via your mobile device (smartphone or tablet).
- Good to know: if you combine your Flex Season Ticket with a STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC season ticket, your STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC supplement will be loaded on your personalised MoBIB card.
You don't have a MoBIB card yet? No problem: you can first buy one at our station counters for € 6 (or, if it is paid for by your employer, on presentation of your third-party payer certificate). - Do you have a personalised MoBIB Card issued by another public transport operator (STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn) which has not yet been registered with SNCB? To activate your Flex Season Ticket's supplements, you must first register your MoBIB Card at the ticket office of a station of your choice.
- To take advantage of the parking supplement, go to a station's ticket office with your MoBIB card (and your third-party payment certificate if your employer participates to the cost) and show your active Season Ticket. Your parking pass will be linked to your MoBIB card.
Depending on the level of intervention chosen by your employer, these various supplements may be paid:
- entirely by your employer
- partly by your employer, partly by yourself for the STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC supplement
- entirely by yourself for the optional parking supplement
Please consult your employer to find out the level of intervention applied in your company. If your employer does not intervene in the purchase of your STIB, De Lijn or TEC supplement at all, you will have to buy it directly from the operator concerned. The purchase of the optional Parking Supplement is always made at a station ticket office.
If your employer participates (in full or in part), your employer's contribution will be included in the voucher code (or, if applicable, in the different voucher codes) that your employer will give you and that you will have to enter in the SNCB app to activate your Flex Season Ticket.
If part of your Flex Season Ticket or its supplements is not covered by your voucher(s), you will have to pay the remaining part when you buy your Flex Season Ticket in the SNCB app (with the payment method of your choice).
Please note: to activate the optional supplements of your Flex Season Ticket, you must be in possession of a personalised MoBIB card linked to your My SNCB account.
- Two prerequisites:
- You have the SNCB app on your smartphone or tablet. If not, download it for free.
- You have a free My SNCB account. If you already have a private My SNCB account, you do not need to create a second one: you can use your My SNCB account for private and professional travel. If you don't have an account yet, you have to create one for free via the SNCB app.
- You receive an e-mail from your employer with a link to the SNCB app.
- You link your voucher to your My SNCB account in the app's Vouchers tab.
- Then you activate your Flex Season Ticket and its possible supplements, again via the app's Vouchers tab.
Note that you don't have to pay the price of your Flex Season Ticket at the time of activation. The amount of the chosen Flex Season Ticket will be invoiced directly to your employer. If your employer does not pay the full amount of your Flex Season Ticket, you will have to pay the part that is not covered by your employer on the SNCB App
And that's it! You can now benefit from a defined number of days for travelling by train on a defined route.
Once you have used your quota of travel days or if the validity date has passed, you can no longer validate travel days on your Flex Season Ticket.
If you want to continue travelling with a Flex Season Ticket:
- If you still have an active voucher, you can activate a new Flex Season Ticket without any problems.
- If you no longer have an active voucher, contact your employer who will give you the right to activate a new Flex Season Ticket and any supplements for STIB/MIVB, TEC or De Lijn.
- Log out and try to log in again. Then a new session will start and your data will be retrieved again. Normally, your Flex Abo should now be visible.
- Perhaps you have a second account? Try logging in with that. Have you forgotten your password? Via "Forgot password" you can reset your password.
- When your parking supplement is about to expire, you should first contact your employer who will give you the right to activate a new parking supplement.
- Then go to the station counter with your MoBIB card to renew your parking supplement (and your employer's parking certificate, if applicable). You will be asked to show your active Flex Season Ticket. The parking supplement will be linked to your MoBIB card.
Using your Flex Season Ticket
Depending on the chosen plan, you have a quota of :
- 6 or 10 days of travel (in 1st or 2nd class), for 1-month Flex Season Tickets
- 80 or 120 days of travel (in 1st or 2nd class) for 12-months Flex Season Tickets
During the period of validity of your Flex Season Ticket, you can freely choose the dates on which you wish to travel, within the limit of the number of travel days purchased.
In order to travel on the date of your choice, you need to validate one day of travel in the SNCB App before boarding your first train of the day. Via the app, you will receive your ticket, which contains a QR code and all the necessary elements for the on-board check.
After validating a day of travel on your Flex Season Ticket, you can make an unlimited number of return journeys on that date on the chosen route and in the chosen class (until the nightly interruption of the train service).
- Once you have activated your Flex Season Ticket and its regional supplements in the SNCB app, your STIB/MIVB, De Lijn or TEC supplement(s) will be loaded onto your MoBIB card.
- Are you travelling with De Lijn? Make sure you have your MoBIB card scanned by an SNCB train attendant or at an SNCB ticket machine to have your De Lijn Supplement loaded onto your MoBIB card!
- Are you travelling with STIB/MIVB or TEC? If you want to use your supplement immediately, make sure it is loaded onto your MoBIB card by having it scanned by an SNCB train attendant or at an SNCB ticket machine. If not, your STIB/MIVB or TEC supplement will be loaded automatically the day after your activation.
Because once you have validated a day of travel on your Flex Season Ticket, you can make an unlimited number of outbound and inbound journeys on that date on the route and in the class chosen.
To make sur you don't forget to validate a day of travel on the day that you are travelling, we recommend that you validate each day of travel in advance. And if your plans change, you can still cancel a day of travel after validation until the day before the trip.
Whatever smartphone or tablet you use (provided the SNCB App is installed on it), you just need to log in to your My SNCB account.
Yes, it is still possible to cancel a travel day after validation in the app.
- for a validation made before the travel date, it is possible to cancel it until the day before the travel day in question.
- for a validation made on the day of travel (but before use), it is possible to cancel until 5 minutes after the validation of your travel day.
