It’s not always easy to choose between a company car and season tickets for the train. In many cases, it’s absolutely necessary to have a car to reach your final destination, but for those who need to get into the city centre on a regular basis, the train is the ideal solution. With Railease you can combine the freedom of having a company car with the comfort of the train, and further combine this with other means of public transport.

How does Railease work?

The concept is simple. Once your employer has signed a Railease contract with NMBS/SNCB, you can choose either 20, 40 or 60 days of unlimited travel per year. One day's travel provides you with unlimited travel throughout the whole of the SNCB network, and if necessary throughout the De Lijn, TEC and STIB networks (additional fees payable). Railease can also be combined with an attractive offer for station parking.

Railease is also beneficial for employers:

  • Leasing contract fees are reduced, as the company car accrues fewer kilometres. If an employee opts for the train 60 days per year, it will save about 7,000 kilometres on their company car.
  • Railease is 100% deductible and is not considered a taxable benefit in kind.
  • It also ensures significant savings on parking fees.
  • Less administrative red tape: you pay on receipt of the invoice, and the 6% VAT can be reclaimed.
  • Thanks to Railease, you’ll also boost productivity among your employees. Time normally wasted in traffic jams or looking for a place to park is saved on the train, where your employees can prepare for meetings or knock a few things off their to-do list in a totally stress-free environment.
