To mark its 100th anniversary, SNCB-NMBS is taking part in Open Company Day and will exceptionally open the doors of its central workshops in Salzinnes and Mechelen on Sunday 4 October 2026.
On the programme:

Travel by train with an exclusive discount
To make your journey easier, SNCB-NMBS is offering registered visitors an additional discount on their journey to the central workshops.
Conditions:
- an additional 20% discount on the ticket;
- valid only for journeys to Mechelen or Namur;
- valid exclusively on Sunday 4 October 2026;
- tickets can be purchased via the SNCB-NMBS website or app;
- one code can be used to purchase up to four return tickets. The confirmation email contains information about the code, its validity on 4 October 2026, how to use it via the SNCB-NMBS website or app, the valid destinations of Mechelen and Namur, and the maximum of four return tickets.
