Permission to Film or Take Photos for Reporting Purposes in Stations or Trains

Would you like to make a photo report in a train or station? Or use a train or station as the setting for your next film? It’s possible! However, a written authorisation is required for each film shoot or photo report involving professional equipment (including for private or school purposes).

In order for you to receive an authorisation form, please submit your request by email after filling out this formWe will reply within 5 weeks. Authorisation is only valid for areas accessible to the public. Station and security staff may ask you to present your authorisation at any time.

A location fee is required for professional film or photo shoots, except for projects carried out for private or educational purposes. In all cases, additional fees may apply, such as charges for electricity consumption, staff assistance, rental of premises, etc.

When deemed necessary, SNCB will send a staff member to accompany and supervise the shoot on site.

If the photo or video is taken without professional equipment and for non-commercial purposes (e.g., holiday photos), no authorisation is required.

If you are a journalist, authorisation is also required. To obtain it, please contact our Press Department. Please note that this email address is strictly reserved for journalists.
