Pride(s) 2026: SNCB-NMBS Highlights Inclusion

Respect, diversity and inclusion are key values at SNCB-NMBS. In 2026, this commitment will once again be reflected through several initiatives organised around Pride events in Belgium, including the deployment of a train decorated in the colours of the progressive Pride flag, the display of rainbow flags in several stations, and the organisation of a Change Station at Brussels-Central. On 8 August, these initiatives will continue at Antwerp-Central as part of Antwerp Pride.

A Change Station at Antwerp-Central

As part of Antwerp Pride, SNCB-NMBS will organise a Change Station in the heart of Antwerp-Central station, in collaboration with Trainbow Belgium and Antwerp Pride.

This space will allow visitors to change clothes, apply make-up or put the finishing touches to their outfits upon arrival in Antwerp before joining the festivities. Open to everyone and requiring no registration, it will provide a welcoming and suitable environment where visitors can get ready comfortably and at their own pace.

• Opening hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Access: Free, no registration required

As part of Antwerp Pride, Antwerp-Central station will also be dressed in rainbow colours. The City of Antwerp will illuminate the station building from 31 July to 17 August as part of its initiative to light up iconic locations throughout the city in Pride colours. In addition, the rainbow flag will fly in the station from 3 to 9 August.

On 8 August, a Desiro train decorated in the colours of the progressive Pride flag will also serve Antwerp, extending the visibility and inclusion initiatives beyond the station and onto the rail network.

A Strong Presence Already Visible in May

In May, SNCB-NMBS had already organised a Change Station at Brussels-Central as part of Brussels Pride, allowing visitors to get ready comfortably before joining the festivities in the city.

During Pride Week, rainbow flags were displayed in several stations and Brussels-Central station was specially illuminated.

Through these initiatives, SNCB-NMBS continues its efforts to foster a respectful and inclusive working and travel environment, in line with its commitments to diversity.
