Before the end of the year, travelling by train will be easier thanks to our new ticket offer. For everyone. With a logical kilometre price and a brand new benefit card that makes it more attractive to travel more often and further by train. Will you get on board with us?

Our future ticket offer

1. One price per kilometre for all

The standard fare per kilometre will remain, but long distance journeys will be up to 20% cheaper than today. Tickets with fixed fares (e.g. Youth Ticket or Senior Ticket) are replaced by attractive discounts that are also interesting for short distances. So you no longer have to compare fixed-fare tickets with kilometre-based tickets.

2. Travel even cheaper thanks to the discount card

With the new advantage card, you benefit from even more competitive prices during off-peak hours (boarding Monday to Friday before 6am, from 9am to 4pm, and after 6pm) and at weekends. Moreover, you enjoy maximum prices, regardless of the time of your journey.

3. Mini group of 4 to 14 people

Planning a day trip with 4 or more? Then you get a 40% discount. As now, large groups of 15 or more get a 60% discount if they book their trip in advance.

4. Products that disappear

The Youth Ticket, Senior Ticket, Youth Multi, Local Multi and Standard Multi will disappear, but new advantageous options will take their place. The Large Family Ticket will also disappear.

The advantages of our new tariff offer

FAQ

The personal advantage card will be available at the ticket office, vending machines, the website and SNCB's app. It exists in 3 formats:

  • on your personalised MoBIB card
  • a QR code linked to the traveller's SNCB account
  • a QR code not linked to an account and available both digitally and on paper.
  • Off-peak hours: boarding Monday to Friday from midnight to 6 a.m., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 6 p.m. to midnight
  • Peak hours: boarding departing Monday to Friday from 6.01am to 8.59am, and from 4.01pm to 5.59pm.

Example: adults (26+ years) with an advantage card have an additional 40% discount on the Weekend tariff. So that means you have 40% discount on an already reduced price. Extra cheap, in other words!
