For families with 3 or more children
The « Large Families » discount has been discontinued and replaced with a simpler, more inclusive offer available to everyone. Families can now enjoy a range of tailored benefits:
- Youths aged 12 to 24 and seniors automatically get 40% off, any time of day
- Adults (26–64 years) receive an automatic 30% discount on weekends and public holidays
- Children under 12 always travel for free (up to four per accompanying adult)
This new fare structure keeps family travel affordable and accessible, while better reflecting the diverse realities of modern families.
Practical info
In 2025, SNCB-NMBS updated its offers to better reflect the diversity of today’s families. Families have evolved, and a discount reserved only for large families no longer fits today's reality. With our new pricing, travelling with your family remains affordable and accessible,and better reflects the variety of family situations today.
The discount « Large Families » remains valid until the launch of the new offer, that is until October 15, 2025.
