    Practical info

Professional journalists (and trainee professional journalists) can use the trains free of charge in 2nd class. All you need to do is to apply for a Journalist Card from the station ticket office, providing:

    • an AGJPB certificate
    • an ID photo
    • your ID card
    • the € 6 processing fee

The Journalist Card is valid for 5 years, the validated ticket is valid for 1 year. Your card will be re-validated annually upon presentation of your certificate.

No problem. You can apply for a duplicate card both for the main Journalist Card and for the validated version. AGJPB members can obtain a new certificate free of charge by contacting AGJPB. Just visit the ticket office with your electronic ID card. The ticket staff will then issue a duplicate of the card (processing fee of € 6).
