In the Netherlands, the use of barriers is becoming increasingly widespread. To access or leave Roosendaal station platform, you must be in possession of a ticket with a barcode. You will find this barcode on your travel ticket. Remember to keep it to hand at Roosendaal station. This type of barcode is printed on every travel ticket in the station of Roosendaal in the SNCB/NMBS range of tickets for Roosendaal.

This barcode is:

  • valid uniquely during the valid term of your ticket or of your season ticket
  • working exclusively within Roosendaal station
  • associated with the terms and conditions of use of the travel ticket. If you have a return ticket, the code may be used twice. If you have a Campus card, the code may be used 10 times.

If you have a Season ticket for the destination of Roosendaal, please keep the paper validation carefully together with your MoBIB card. On the paper ticket you will find the barcode needed to open the barriers in Roosendaal station. If that doesn't work, please do not hesitate to ask for a duplicate at an SNCB ticket office.

Those entitled to free travel without a travel ticket (e.g. accompanied children under the age of 12) can ask a member of staff on site to allow them through the barriers.

Wider barriers are also provided for providing access to persons with reduced mobility, passengers with luggage or a bike.

If you have lost your validation ticket or there isn't a barcode on it, you can request a duplicate from an SNCB ticket office.
