And for a unique experience, assume the role of the engine driver and take your place in the engine cab!

Special event on 29 & 30 August 2026 : railway heritage in full scale and miniature

The closing weekend marks the highlight of a two weeks exhibition dedicated to model trains at Train World : more than twenty of Belgium’s finest model railway layouts will be set up amongst the museum’s impressive historic locomotives and carriages – a unique combination that cannot be seen anywhere else!

At the same time, as part of its centenary celebrations, SNCB-NMBS is preparing a special 300-metre-long historic train comprising historic rolling stock of different eras, some of whose carriages will also be open to visitors. The train will be visible on 29 and 30 August at Schaerbeek station, directly opposite Train World.
