Bike Supplement
Going on a trip by train? Just bring your (electric) bicycle with you! Whether you're exploring Belgium or commuting to work, the convenient Bike Supplement lets you travel smoothly, sustainably and flexibly – by train and bike.
- Only €3 per single journey during off-peak hours, on weekends or public holidays (you do not need Train+ for this)
- €5 per single journey during peak hours
- Folding bicycle? These always travel free of charge! Fold up your bicycle before boarding and place it neatly under your seat.
Please note: Always place your bicycle in the designated space. These are limited, and not every bicycle is allowed. So check with the train manager in advance to be sure.

Useful Information
- The number of bicycle spaces is limited. If the designated spaces for bicycles are already occupied, you are obliged to take the next train.
- Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their (electric) bicycles.
- Loading and unloading bicycles is prohibited at Brussels Central, Brussels Congress and Brussels Kapellekerk stations.
- Groups with reservations are not permitted to bring bicycles for logistical and safety reasons.
- In the event of (planned) works, only folding bicycles are permitted on replacement buses.
- Separate batteries for electric vehicles are prohibited on the train, and charging on board is also not permitted.
Want to park your bicycle quickly and safely at the station? You can do so almost anywhere! There are free bicycle parking facilities and paid bicycle parking facilities with access control. Find more information here.
Prefer to rent a shared bicycle? That's possible too! Many stations offer bicycle hire. View the range of bicycle hire options here.
You will still pay a fixed amount to take your bicycle on the train. What will change is that a distinction will now be made between peak and off-peak hours.
Are you travelling on weekdays between 06:01 and 08:59 or between 16:01 and 17:59? Then the Bike Supplement costs €5 per single journey.
Are you travelling during off-peak hours, at the weekend or on a public holiday? Then the Bike Supplement is even cheaper than before: you only pay €3 per journey.
