The world of mobility is changing at an unprecedented pace. New technologies and new actors are emerging on the market each day. Our passengers align their behaviours and expectations as a result. They require flexibility, multimodal solutions, and want to be informed everywhere and at all times. In order to meet their expectations and satisfy them at best, SNCB decided to establish an innovation program in 2019. This program has two main missions:

  • Resolve customer issues. The innovation team attempts to solve customer issues as best as possible through proofs-of-concept (small test projects used to assess the feasibility and desirability of a product).
  • Spread the culture of innovation. The innovation team propagates innovation throughout the company in order for SNCB to be ready for the future.
